I suggest using a colour of tape that you don’t mind seeing behind the beans. Then wrapped it all together in the shape of bunny ears that I liked. The only foam I could find was not the exact shape that I wanted so I used balled up news paper to fill in the areas of the foam that were in dented. Step 1: Sculpt your Bunny Ears! I searched around my house for some foam because I thought I could sculpt it into the shape of an ear. I don’t know if it’s because I find it visually pleasing, makes me feel happy, or that it really doesn’t take much thought to create (because I don’t like thinking?), or maybe it’s just because I like small dainty things. And I just so happened to have a bag of dried kidney beans in the pantry! Plus although her acorn wreath was beautiful, I didn’t have any acorns… In this fun tutorial she mentioned that she thought that kidney beans could be used instead of the acorns. So unfortunately I didn’t originally come up with the idea to glue beans to a wreath form and call it done! instead I was inspired by a fun tutorial found on Made Everyday’s blog called the Acorn Wreath. LOL! So, stick around to find out how I made this Easter wreath out of kidney beans… because you need one in your life too! So many good things about this bunny head Easter wreath. So… you might think I’m a little crazy on this one (because Shawinkins does), but I love my big cute kidney bean bunny head Easter wreath!! LOL! I love that it was made out of simple items that I found around the house, it’s minimalistic without being overly Eastery (because Eastery is a word right?!?!), it’s pretty big, and I like big wreaths!!! I also like that it could be gussied up a bit if you are wanting a more kid friendly bunny (for instance you could add a bow or two), or it could be spray painted any colour to fit with your existing Easter decor. ![]()
